DCE KRISTY is from a small town of 500 people in Wisconsin.  She is a 2000 graduate of Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota.

DCE KRISTY served as an intern at Holy Cross from 1998-1999 before accepting the Call to become the Director of Christian Education at Holy Cross in 2000.  She was installed as our DCE on June 30, 2000.  When asked about why she does what she does, DCE Kristy replied "I firmly believe I would wither away, if I wasn’t given the opportunity to teach, love and encourage children and youth on a regular basis." Although she works primarily with the Middle School Youth (5th-8th Grade) and the Kindergarten through 4th Grade, she loves working with all ages. DCE Kristy enjoys laughing, singing, cooking, baking, playing guitar, watching movies, playing games, writing, and watching sports (especially basketball-high school girls and football-the Green Bay Packers).  She has an identical twin sister and two younger brothers, as well as three nieces and a nephew whom she adores. She also sponsors two children from Rwanda, Africa and a third child from Kenya through Compassion.  She also is a blogger and Advocate for Compassion International, as well as her own personal blog.  DCE Kristy has two black toy schnauzers who she considers her own children.

She completed in and finished the 2011 and the 2013 Chicago Lifetime Triathlon and is a three time finisher of the Lake Charles Triathlon (T-Gator Series). She is a Red Jacket Graduate and PT Killer Graduate of the local Christian physical fitness organization, TCPT (Transformation Challenge Physical Training), and she is a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan!  She continues to train regularly for dualthons and triathlons. As one of her classmates once said, "Ministry IS the interruptions" so stop by her office any time! ‚Äč
