PRE-SCHOOL & MOTHER'S DAY OUT: Holy Cross offers a stellar program under the leadership of Early Childhood Director Kay Brown. The program runs September through May, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. The program follows the Nederland ISD school calendar. These classes deepen the faith of our children and instill the faith of Christians. For further information please contact DCE KRISTY dcekristy@sbcglobal.netWEDNESDAY WEEKDAY SCHOOL "KINGDOM QUEST" CLASSES: for grades kindergarten through 4th. This is a Large Group/Small Group format. "KINGDOM QUEST" will resume on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7th, 2011 at 6:00 PM in the Education Building, Family Life Center Foyer, and in the Church Sanctuary and conclude at 7:15 PM in the Education Building. Sunday Morning Classes (September through May) are also offered: Holy Cross Sunday School is “Growing in Christ” and we have a class for everyone! Sunday School starts Sunday September 11th. You don’t want to miss it! Children’s Classes meet each Sunday from 9:30- 10:15 in the Education Building.
From 9:00-9:30 children will meet in the Education Big Room for donuts and juice and a pre-Sunday School activity. We have some great large group activities planned, so meet us at 9 if you can, or at 9:30 for Sunday School!
Little Lambs- Birth - 2 years and Parents: Katherine Graham and Kathleen Yosko Little Lambs will meet in Room 4. The Little Lambs class gives the youngest of Jesus’ flock and their parents the opportunity to hear Bible stories and learn about Jesus through songs, puppet shows, crafts, and much more!
Savior’s Sheep- 3 years through Kindergarten: Visa Robison and Catherine Bruney Savior’s Sheep will meet in Room 3. The Savior’s Sheep class is a high energy class where students learn about their Lord and Savior along with Sprout, the class puppet. They will learn songs and finger plays and make crafts to help reinforce lessons from the Bible.
Lord’s Lions- 1st through 2nd Grade: Carla Derouen and Donna Wolfe Lord’s Lions will meet in room 2. The Lord’s Lions class introduces a new puppet, Lily. She helps the students to learn more about stories they have heard before, and introduces them to new stories. Also, students in first and second grade will begin to learn and memorize Bible verses.
God’s Amazing Angels- 3rd through 4th Grade: Laurie and Layne Ford Amazing Angels will meet in room 1. The Amazing Angels class continues to learn with Lily, the class puppet. Along with learning more and more about God’s Word, students will continue to learn and memorize Bible verses. They will also begin learning Catechism connections to help prepare for the 5th grade confirmation class.
Warriors for Christ Class- 5th through 8th Grade: Deacon Michael Yosko Warriors will meet in the Foyer in the Family Life Center. The Warriors for Christ Class will supplement the Wednesday night Confirmation class, as well as review the scheduled Bible Lesson for the week. This is an amazing opportunity for Middle School students to extend and apply what they have learned in Confirmation as well as to develop an even closer relationship to the other students in their class.
High School and Adult Classes- 9:00- 10:00 AM each Sunday:
Pastor Francis will meet with his “Church Next” class in Conference Room A.Kristy’s “God Sightings” High School and Adult class meets in Conference Room B.
Donuts, Coffee and Juice Provided
There is a nursery available during Sunday School and Church if needed.
