Operation Christmas Child - Goal 300 Boxes


Community-Wide Mission Project

Together with dozens of churches in our area, we will be collecting items for shoeboxes that will be given to children for Christmas! The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Items We Are Collecting & Collection Dates
*Bring all items to our collection boxes in our Church Narthex and/or Church Office

Aug 14-Aug 27—School Supplies & Coloring Items Pencils, colors, notebooks, notepads, scissors, erasers, coloring books, pens

August 28-Sept 10 Bars of soap and wash clothes—place soap in zip-top baggie

Sept 11-Sept 24— Girls & Boys Socks

Sept 25-Oct 8—Combs/Brushes

Oct 9-Oct 22 Children’s toothbrushes and toothpaste

Oct 23-Nov 5 Children’s Toys—(balls, jacks, jump rope, stuffed animals, cards, small puzzles, yo-yo's; ball caps; hair things for girls)

Nov 6– Nov 16 Personal Notes (photo of you/family, name & address so children can write to you.)

Monetary Donations
*If you would like to give a monetary donation you can do so to
Holy Cross Lutheran Church. It costs $7 to send each box.

All Children Kindergarten through 12th Grade and adults are encourage to join us!

You and yours are invited to a Packing Party to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world through Operation Christmas Child. Please join us for fun, fellowship, and filling shoebox gifts!

Our goal is to collect enough items to send 300 boxes!
All mid-week classes (K-Adults) are encouraged to join us!
